WELCOME

 

It is my job to represent the entire population - over 70,000 individuals. It doesn't matter a fig if you voted for me. I have a duty to my very best for all my constituents.  I have a real sense of responsibility to ensure that anyone who needs the assistance of their MP will get it.

In Parliament I can raise issues on your behalf, ask questions, initiate debates, take petitions to Ministers and create a fuss. Locally I can twist arms too. I cannot intervene in planning issues - that is for district or county councils to decide. I possess no supernatural powers to solve problems. But my intervention is sometimes capable of getting things moving. My team will tell you straight what the limitations may be in any particular case. But that honest caveat should never stop you asking. I am here to be asked !
