The big red book came out today - and a big red letter day it is indeed as the most important contract for Britain’s energy future was formally signed by all the vital players, French, Chinese and HM Government in London. Bridgwater has waited patiently for the green flag to be waved so this huge project can really get under way. Now it can and will! The new power station will take another eight or nine years to complete before it begins to produce energy. But the boost to the local economy in the meantime will be unprecedented.
