UK Tourism after Paris

8 December, 2015 by Ian

UK tourism after ParisTomorrow I have secured a short Parliamentary debate about the UK tourism industry. Down here tourism is a vital ingredient of the local economy. But what is being done to persuade more visitors to come? Could there be additional publicity? Do we need to shout from the rooftops that Britain, and Somerset in particular, is still open for business? I think we should be doing precisely this and I will be arguing the case with some degree of local knowledge - I spent the weekend in Paris at the Climate Change conference. Paris may be shaken after the atrocities, but they haven’t shut up shop. We never do and we need our national tourism leaders to say so loud and clear.
